so...It's been about a million years since I posted anything in here. I told you all that I was horrible at keeping a journal. But, I've been letting this fester, and I feel like I really need to get it off my chest. So, I'm gonna post about it here.

I'm not really looking for sympathy, and I'm not really trying to whine about it, I'm just trying to say that this has annoyed me. I'm also not trying to make anyone feel bad about what they may or may not have done.

On the hall, we have a lot of girls who have birthdays near the beginning of the year. There are several in February: Anne, Corinne, Maddie, Keli, and Joselyn. Everyone made note of these days, and then we had a big February Birthday Party at the end of the month.

In April, we have Loli on the 7th, Doddy on the 14th, and me on the 17th. And then in May, we have Lana on the 5th.
The hall threw a huge party for Loli, and then another one for Doddy. On the eve of Lana's birthday, we all went into her room at midnight and watched her open presents, and gave her a cake-type thing.
My birthday went almost completely unobserved. I got a few presents, and Kat and Suzu took me out to dinner, but most of the hall seemed to forget about it. I know this was partially my fault because I was working on Sunday, but still.

On another note, people (namely Loli) keep giving Lana food-type things for the summer, saying things like, 'oh, she's going to be living on campus this summer, I don't want her to go hungry.' and 'I want her to have things to eat.'
I too am going to be living on campus this summer, with no car and little access to anything other than Kroger for my meal options. Yet, no one has offered me so much as a package of ramen. (That's not strictly true, Jennifer Waterhouse and Doddy both told me that I was welcome to come eat dinner at their house sometimes, but I'm still feeling a little bit forgotten and abandoned.)

I'm 20 years old, about to be a Junior in college, and I should be self-sufficient and able to stand on my own. But I'm feeling a little bit like I need someone to lean on. Maybe it's just end-of-the-year blues. Maybe it's the fact that in a couple of months Kat will be going away to grad school, and for the first time in our lives, we'll be living in different states, in different time zones. I don't know, I just kind of wish I didn't feel so ignored and alone.

I got the first season of The Muppets on DVD for Yule! It made me ecstatic!!! I love the Muppets! Especially the Swedish Chef!

I also got a PRINTER!!! Which makes me VERY happy. No more getting up early to trek over to Dana to print out assignments...only to find out that one or both the printers aren't working.

I'm also planning to get a DS... and Anyar is trying to get a Wii, which she will be bringing back with her if she procures one. Wish her luck!

Now, it is almost 3:30am, and I am going to sleep. Goodnight all.

This year I've been busy!

In November I gave tammypierce a Dutch Oven (-10 points). Last Wednesday I signed my organ donor card (28 points). In August I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). In April I punched nimori in the arm (-10 points). Last Monday I put money in sssargon's expired parking meter (14 points).

1. Chem 105 - BASIC Chemistry - INTRO-LEVEL Chemistry requires CALCULUS!
- I've never taken Calculus. In high school, I passed Trig with a 'C,' and barely passed Pre-Calculus 2. I also struggled through every minute of it. Pre-Calc 2 brought me to tears several times.
- I've basically given up on Chemistry. At this point, I'm just hoping to pass.

2. When it rains, it pours.
- Thanksgiving break falls right before the end of the semester. All the professors make tests, papers, and projects due the two weeks before Thanksgiving break, because there isn't time afterward. (okay, this I was warned about...)

3. Being a senator for a dying club, whose other members are all really busy, makes you become President, VP, Secretary, and Senator, all-in-one.
- I'm in charge of getting the club a new email account, because ours somehow got deleted
- I've got to get our page on the SGA website up to date.
- I need to make sure they have a copy of our constitution. I don't even know if we have a constitution.
- I had to sit the table at the Halloween Carnival all by myself. (Which I don't blame anyone for, since the car accident had just happened.)
- I have to give the semester report, aka I have to get up in front of senate and tell them all we've done NOTHING!

I am a first-semester, first-year student. I'm still trying to adjust to the work load of college. I have TWO work study jobs. I'm the Secretary of Foundation 42. I understand that the other members of the Field Hockey team have their own things going on. To name a few, sssargon is a senior, and captain of the hall. goldcelestial is president of WA2. I don't blame everyone for being busy, but I DO NOT have the ability, the time, or the desire to run a club all by myself.

I'm pretty much ready to just shut down. I can tell its going to happen. And this is what will happen. I will stop doing all homework, all reading assignments. I will ignore the fact that they exist. I will spend my free time reading for pleasure and surfing the internet. My migraine will come back, and persist. I will stop caring about everything, and I'll start being mean to my friends.

So, in case you couldn't tell, I'm feeling really stressed out. I'm pretty much stretched to my limits. If I snap at you, I probably don't mean it, and I'm sorry.

Why the hell not? I'll make a list too.

ranting below...feel free to just skip to the next text break...

As if it weren't bad enough, this past week was Hell Week, or production week of our fall drama production. Because of this, my stress level has been through the roof. I had a migraine that started on Tuesday evening, and pretty much followed me through Sunday.
Add to that my friends getting in a car accident Saturday evening, and my stress level doesn't exactly go down. (They're all fine, nothing worse than a mild concussion and stitches required.)
On top of that, my roommate's mother came for Family Weekend, and is staying in our room...which would be okay, except for the fact that I think she snores just about as loud as my mother does.
I think I managed to drift off, in that half-asleep state, for no more than an hour...
I know I'm going to get yelled at, that many of you would have let me sleep in your room instead, but I didn't really want to bother, and really didn't want to impose. Besides, I didn't really begin to give up sleeping until 2am, and didn't give up entirely until about a half hour ago, putting me at about 5:30am...I didn't want to risk someone else who needed sleep being woken up on account of me.
And, truth be told, I didn't want to offend my roommate's mother by going 'oh, I'll just go elsewhere tonight so I can actually get some sleep!' I thought it would be okay, and once I got tired enough, I would be able to just drift off.
So, here I sit, in the computer room in the dorms. Its freezing cold in here. So I am both exhausted and COLD!!! Not a good combination.
So here I am, looking into the week ahead, at classes galore, followed by NekoCon next weekend. If I didn't have to save my last Chemistry absence for this friday, for the con, I would totally not be going tomorrow.

Speaking of the Con, I need to make a goodwill run before this weekend, preferably before wednesday, so I have it for Samhain. Anyone willing to take me?

which is good, and at the same time bad.
It is good because it means that I don't have classes today, so I can catch up on homework and sleep.

It is bad because I stayed up for the Tinker scare at 1am, so didn't get to bed until almost two, and then got woken up at 6am. Also, I just gave blood last night, and when I went to get donuts this morning, I kept having dizzy spells. I also have that bone-weary tired feeling that I always get after giving blood, that all-encompassing lethargy, where all I want to do is sleep. So, in light of current circumstances, I decided it was best if I didn't climb a friggin' MOUNTAIN today. I'm sure you all understand.

So, I went and got donuts with the rest of Otaku, and then I came back to my room to take a shower and go back to sleep. Unfortunately for me, Courtney had knee surgery this summer, so there will be no mountain climbing for her either. She likes to sleep with music on, which is rarely a problem, because she has headphones and it doesn't bother me too much. But on some occasions, she turns it up pretty loud, and I cannot sleep with music that I know that has a vocal part playing in the background, because I sing along in my head, and can't sleep. Of course, this morning just had to be one of those days where she plays her music loudly. so here I sit, completely exhausted, but unable to sleep because of her music.

I can't wait until J-Term when I can move into my single on Otaku. And to top it all off, my hair STILL smells like GRAPE, even after I've shampooed it twice since it was dyed...

I'm off to try and sleep again....

but I felt that it was necessary for me to post now, since anyone who I really want to see it will be able to here, I think, and I don't feel like getting screamed at while trying to say it to people in person.
I really, really, really, really love ALL the Otaku! But I'm a little annoyed by all the drama that is taking place on the hall right now. We're in college ladies, and we should be able to get past this without having screaming matches. Without people breaking down into tears, and without long periods of silence and stony looks.
I feel like there's this shroud throughout your entire hallway, and its making me want to stay away from the hall. That really makes me sad, because the hall is like my second home and I love spending time down there. I feel so loved and accepted on the hall, but lately its just been this cloud of hatred and depression, and I can't handle that right now, because I'm already stressed out about college in general, the work load, and finances, and friends, etc.
Is there anything that can be done to fix things? I don't know if there is, but can we all try to act a little more mature? Please? I hate it when I feel like I'm being banished from a place where I felt welcomed in the past.
I almost feel like I did when my father told me and Kat that he didn't love us and never wanted to see us again. Like I've been punched in the gut. I hate that feeling. I don't know really what's going on, and I don't really think I want to know everything that's happening, I don't even want to know what I do know.
Please, for the sake of everyone's sanity, can we PLEASE try to be civil to one another? Can we try not to get upset when someone mentions our name in a conversation in another room? Can we also try to be rational, and discuss this without shouting?

I would just like to say that neighbors are the most annoying things on the planet.
Our neighbors are barbecuing out, which is fine, but then they decide that it is okay for them to sit on the bench we have in our backyard, and drink beer on it.
Even that wasn't a big problem, but then, I heard them throw one of the empty beer bottles into our trash can. The trash men will not pick up the trash unless it is in a bag, and I admit, I got angry. I stormed out there and told them to take it out. The woman refused and got all offended, and started yelling, and proceeded to accuse me of hating her because she was black, and threw her beer bottle into our trash can as well.
Now, 15 minutes later, she is still out in the back yard, still SITTING ON OUR BENCH, and yelling.
Excuse my language, but what the FUCK is wrong with people today, that they think it is okay to use other people's property, not only without permission, but people they don't know, and who they will have to continue living next to.

I'm stuck in New York right now, we're stuck sitting in a hotel all day, because of the snow. its soooooo boring, but Cunningham is going to try to go get us some games and find food places that are close so we can get stuff to eat. Yeah, so we took a test on tuesday in Chemistry and I thought I did really badly because I didn't know any of the information on it.
But, appearently, I did pretty well, at least, that's what Kaplan said to Kitty.
He said that if I keep getting test scores like that, I'll be fine, but it would be nice if I would try to do some of my homework...oops...heh...

why do I need to do homework? I see it as rather pointless...I hate it, I don't really have the time to do it, and I don't need it. If there was no such thing as homework, I would be an honor roll student without even trying. I mean, in Algebra II, for the first quarter I sat there and read my book all class, and hardly paid attention at all, and I got an A.(Granted, that might just be because it was all stuff we were reviewing from Algebra I, so I didn't need to learn it.) That's something else that I've noticed, I do much better on things the second time around. But anyway, there was this one time last quarter where I didn't do the review sheet for a particular test(I think it was the big end of quarter one...)and I had only done 2 of the homework assignments all quarter, and I got a 96 on the test. Mr. Johnson sends out the grades to our parents through email, so mom got the grade for that test before I knew what I'd gotten. She told me, and I was like wow, that's pretty amazing. She also said, and I quote, "You have no idea how much that irks teachers, when students don't do their homework and then get As on their tests." They all seem to have this idea in their heads that if you don't do the homework, then you fail. I love showing them up. So perhaps I will start trying to do my homework for Algebra and Chemistry...or maybe not...heh...

On another note, I am sick....I think it's allergies, but it might be turning into a cold.

I'm tired and I really want to just go home, but I can't afford to miss any more of my blue day classes. it really sucks. Mommy....>.<

People don't normally mention this, but sitting around doing nothing is EXHAUSTING!! I don't know why, but by the end of it, I was ready for a nap. But 'twas fun, I got to hang out w/ all my old choir
friends, who I don't get to hang out with very often b/c they're in the other choir.
On Sunday, I had to work on my lab report for chem with my lab group. Twas much fun, I made them listen to the all district cd. Then, after Kathrin left, to do whatever she was doing, we went over to
my friend's house(her mom does MaryKay) and all got makeovers. was mucho fun....I just realized I keep saying that, or variations of that...oh well.
We had just gotten started, when Rachel had to leave, so then it was just me, Maria, and Eva, who had been there, and of course Tamara, because she lives there. We had a lot of fun, and now I want
to buy many new makeup things...heh, that always happens to me. I think I shall become a Mary Kay consultant when I turn 18...
So, I wasn't in school Thurs. and I'm dreading going to both Chem, and Algebra II. Oh well, suck it up.

I am going to AUSTRALIA this summer, with People to People. In case you couldn't tell, I'm excited. The only down side is that I now have to raise like $5000 for the trip....shall be interesting. I'm going with the Sports Ambassador program, so I get to spend 2 weeks in Australia playing Volleyball. I think this was not what my coach had in mind when she said that she wanted me to do a summer camp, but I'm sure she'll be very happy with the idea and the program.

Fundraising here I come....
